The Cyclocross season is well and truly underway with the first televised crosses of the year taking place in Kruibeke.
The mens race was won by Michael Venthourenhout, after an attack mid race which was lead in by Iserbyt. But Sweeck, who looks reborn after a transfer, Iserbyt, and new dad Van der Haar also made a good impression.
The womens race was won by Van Empel. She was a lot stronger than the rest, but does this win mean Van Empel will dominate the season, or did worst and betsema show enough today? And what about the Belgians Cant and Riberolle further down?
